The Queen is a film directed by Stephen Frears and produced by Andy Harries, Christine Langan and Tracey Seaward. Released in the United Kingdom on September 15, 2006 and in France on October 18, 2006. The film tells the story of Princess Diana's death which caused problems for her ex-husband Prince Charles, Queen Elizabeth II and Prime Minister Tony Blair. The analysis carried out in the film The Queen is Pierce's semiotic analysis based on Object, Sign, and Interpretant with a qualitative research approach where it can be said that qualitative research is a collection of data. The type of research carried out is descriptive which seeks to describe the object or subject that is studied in depth, broadly, and in detail with data collection techniques through Literature Studies, Documentation Techniques and Digital Surveys. The results of this study can be seen that the public relations tasks of the British Empire in the film The Queen include analyzing the media, Problem Solving Facilitators, and conducting Press Releases.
