Language is used as a daily communication tool between individuals, both orally and in writing. The development of communication technology has led to the emergence of new types or variations of language. Currently, there is a language used by Gen Z in Bojonggede, namely Jaksel language. Jaksel language is a non-standard language, commonly used by Gen Z in Bojonggede in their daily communication. The use of Jaksel language is widespread among Gen Z in Bojonggede. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to understand how Jaksel language style shapes daily communication among Gen Z in Bojonggede and to identify the barriers to using Jaksel language style for Gen Z in Bojonggede. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through interviews conducted with Gen Z informants in Bojonggede. The key informants were selected using purposive sampling, and the data analysis technique follows Milles and Huberman's model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Gen Z in Bojonggede uses Jaksel language because it is considered unique and interesting for their generation. Jaksel language combines Indonesian and English in one sentence. The language style used by Gen Z tends to be casual, but in certain situations, they use a consultative style when interacting with individuals significantly older than them. The use of Jaksel language among Gen Z in Bojonggede is influenced by social media and close individuals such as family and friends, making the language trendy among Gen Z.
